SEMINAR-TRAINING FOR HEADS IN ACADEMIC DIVISIONS AT HIGHER MEDICAL (PHARMACEUTICAL) SCHOOLS OF UKRAINE

The seminar-training for heads in academic divisions at higher medical (pharmaceutical) schools of Ukraine was held on 20, December, 2013 in administrative building at Bogomolets National medical university.

The prorector on scientific pedagogical activity corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine professor O.P. Yavorovskyy made a welcome speech to all present.

The seminar-training started from report “Monitoring as a component for improvement of quality in education” by deputy director in State establishment “Central methodic department on higher medical education at MHC of Ukraine” assistant professor I.V. Melnyk.

Head in academic methodic division at Bogomolets NMU, assistant professor L.I. Ostapiuk presented the report “On improvement of activity for academic methodic division, division (sector) on monitoring of quality in education, information analytical division taking into consideration the new regulatory legal documents”. Head in division of ECTS and monitoring of quality in education at State higher school “Ivano-Frankivsk national medical university” V.V. Kapechuk, head in academic division at Ternopil state medical university assistant professor G.Ya. Zagrychuk and director in Center of information technologies at Lugansk state medical University, assistant professor V.M. Senchiy added her speech and shared with their experience.

As well assistant professor L.I. Ostapiuk reported about ways for optimal realization of Provision about academic mobility of students at higher medical (pharmaceutical) schools of Ukraine. Deputy head in academic methodic division N.K. Grebin (co-reporter of assistant professor L.I. Ostapiuk) – about presentation of new journals and work sheets of academic group. Deputy head in academic methodic division, assistant professor O.V. Stechenko (co-reporter of assistant professor L.I. Ostapiuk) told about implementation of rating system for assessment of student’s activity under conditions of study due to credit modular system for organization of academic process.

The report by head in information analytical division at Ukrainian medical dental academy, assistant professor S.M. Bilash “Presentation of Provision about procedure for assessment of students’ academic activity in disciplines, which are studied due to credit modular system for organization of academic process and which form of final control is credit” was discussed.

In total over 20 specialists from the whole Ukraine took part in the seminar: V.M. Solonynko, dean in medical faculty at Lugansk state medical university, Doctor of Medicine, assistant professor R.V. Rozumnyy, head in academic division at Dnipropetrovsk state medical academy N.V. Likholetova, dean, Doctor of Medicine, professor V.O. Kondratyev, assistant professor V.Ye. Cheshuk (Bogomolets NMU).
