About preparation and performance

In order to organize and to perform state attestation of students in graduate (3, 5, 6) courses at pharmaceutical faculty (extra-mural courses) in 2013/2014 a. y. in Bogomolets National medical university according to regulatory legal documents
 
I hereby order:
 
1. To approve the following documents for organization and performance of state attestation of students in graduate (3, 5, 6) courses according to the study periods of 2,5; 4,5; 5,5 years, in pharmaceutical faculty (extra-mural courses) in 2013/2014 a. y.
-         composition of state examination commissions (SEC) and composition of examiners (annexes 1, 2);
-         timetable of state final exams (annexes 3, 4);
-         work schedule of SEC at pharmaceutical faculty in extra-mural courses (annexes 5, 6).
2. Attorney to state examination commissions, dean at pharmaceutical faculty, heads at graduate departments of university: bioorganic, biological and pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy and botany, pharmacy and industrial technology of drugs, organization and economics of pharmacy, pharmacology and clinical pharmacology, head at academic methodological division: while preparing and performing the state attestation of students in graduate (3, 5, 6) courses at pharmaceutical faculty in extra-mural courses apply the following legislative and regulatory documents:
-         Law of Ukraine “On higher education” (2002);
-         Industry standards of higher education (2004);
-         Provisions about organization of academic process at higher schools (Order from MHC of Ukraine, dd. 02.06.93 No 161);
-         Provisions about state higher school (Decree from Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, dd. 05.09.96 No 1074);
-         Instruction about procedure for establishment, organization and work of state examination commission in higher medical and pharmaceutical schools of Ukraine (letter from MHC of Ukraine, dd. 18.04.94 No 8.02-50/493);
-         Order from MHC of Ukraine, dd. 17.12.2013 No 1054.
3. Dean at pharmaceutical faculty is to:
3.1. Organize the performance of staff meeting with participation of chairmen in SEC and heads at graduate departments of faculty with graduates from pharmaceutical faculty in extra-mural courses of 2014 on 08.01.2014.
3.2. During staff meeting inform students about conditions for admission to state final exams, lists of theoretical questions and practical skills on disciplines, timetable of state final exams, regulation for each of them and criteria for assessment of knowledge and skills of graduates.
3.3. Check the readiness of graduate departments at faculty before start of state final exams and inform Academic council of faculty on this issue (09.01.2014).
3.4. Submit the following documents to state examination commissions before start of state final exams:
- order from rector about admission of students to state attestation;
- consolidated sheet about fulfillment of curriculum by students at graduate course and their marks in academic disciplines, practices, yearly essays (signed by dean at faculty).
4. Heads at graduate departments:
- exam papers, which are composed according to requirements of Industrial standards for higher education, typical; curricula on disciplines, shall be approved at Cyclic methodological commission, at Academic council of faculty and at prorector on scientific pedagogical work.
5. State examination commissions:
- provide with performance of complex control for theoretical knowledge and practical skills during exams by the same composition of examination commission.
6. Head at academic methodological division:
- compose the timetable for state final exams, work schedule for SEC at pharmaceutical faculty in extra-mural courses, approve them with chairmen in state examination commissions and after approval by order from rector, inform chairmen and members in state examination commissions and dean at pharmaceutical faculty.
7. Control for fulfillment of order is laid to prorector on scientific pedagogical work professor O.P. Yavorovskyy.

THANK YOU FOR VISITS AND CAROLS VERY MUCH!

The collective of Bogomolets National medical university respects folk traditions. 14, January, 2014, is the New Year’s holiday due to Julian calendar, which is called the Old New Year among people, the students of University celebrated it with merry festal performance. Since the very morning in the corridors of University one could see the groups of carolers in traditional suits for this holiday, who “took a goat”, - and presented the joy and good mood to employees and teachers. 

The representatives from amateur arts at ICC of University (at the head of I.P. Terpeliuk) started “from house to house” to all structural subdivisions of NMU with clear Ukrainian carol song. Carolers congratulated the rector of University academician in NAMS of Ukraine professor V.F. Moskalenko with holidays, went round carol-singing and wished happiness, aspiration, good health and many years.

NEW YEAR’S PARTY FOR CHILDREN OF EMPLOYEES AND STUDENTS

It has become a good tradition at Bogomolets National medical university to celebrate Happy New Year with the whole large family. Happy New Year’s party for children of employees and students, organized and held by Administration and Trade Union of employees, took place on 9, January 2014 in assembly hall of physical chemical building.

Grandfather Frost, Snow Maiden and fairy tale heroes: Baron Munchausen, Snow queen and Snowman came to the party to congratulate children with Christmas and Happy New Year. Children with admiration watched the performance, loudly told verses and joyfully sang songs. At the end of the party every one received a desirable present: sweets, toys, as well as sincere smiles.

SPEECH BY RECTOR ON THE EVE OF HAPPY NEW YEAR

The previous year was not simple but rich in results and events. We are a strong, powerful collective of adherents, which, having united around a joint purpose to train a doctor and pharmacist of XXI century, remains to be faithful to glorious traditions of the University.

In 2013 our educational establishment made the record admission of first year students – over 2,300 persons (750 – budget form of study, 1,558 – contract form of study, among them 461 foreign citizens from over 40 countries all over the world). For the first time in the University the representatives from all continents of the world came to study.

The University continues its progress in international space: during 2013 over 60 international bilateral agreements were concluded with new higher schools and new countries-partners. Three doctoral students – our graduates successfully defended their dissertations at Caroline institute (Sweden). Postgraduate student at department of internal medicine No 2 Syao Yao was acknowledged as the best representative of PRC among those ones, who study outside China, and the only one in Ukraine laureate of governmental award from PRC.

According to “TOP-200” rating of the best higher schools in Ukraine in 2013 Bogomolets NMU keeps the leading positions – 1st place among higher medical schools in the country and 5th place among total list of higher schools in the country.

2013 was a significant year: UNESCO announced it to be the year of Mykola Amosov in the field of medicine and the University did not stand on the sidelines. The renewed lecture hall, named after Mykola Amosov, was opened on occasion of his 100th anniversary, where the first lecture was read by his daughter doctor-cardiologist Kateryna Amosova, as well as the book about famous surgeon was compiled and is prepared for publication.

This year Bogomolets NMU successfully passed through accreditation and received the license, according to which it is entitled to train specialists during next 10 years. It is a successful pass to the new educational future.

Outstanding events took place at the University: solemnities on occasion of 20th anniversary of National academy of medical sciences of Ukraine, meeting of rectors in higher medical (pharmaceutical) schools of Ukraine, presentation of book by academician in NAMS of Ukraine I. Trachtenberg “My Kyiv. My Kyivans.” on his 90th birthday. The interactive lectures by Minister of health care of Ukraine and famous scientists of the present time on different fields of medicine were regularly held during the year.

Laureate of the Nobel Prize for peace, graduate from Kyiv medical institute in 1953, academician Yevgen Chazov and his daughter, corresponding member in RAMS, professor Iryna Chazova visited Alma Mater. At native University Ye. Chazov solemnly opened the renewed lecture hall No 2 in sanitary hygienic building, which will have the name of O. Korchak-Chepurkivskyy,

The new structural subdivision of the University – Medical college, which will function on the basis of dental faculty and will train young specialists due to specialty “orthopedic dentistry”, was established.

The University is proud of high sports achievements of its students. Our football team gained the victory, winning the bronze medal in competitions “Students’ football league “Dynamo” 2013”. Students of the University made the significant contribution into sports achievements of Alma mater: Hanna Khabina as a member in women’s national team became a winner in winter cup of Europe on spear throwing and Veronika Gavrylenko – world champion on taekwondo ITF.

On the eve of Happy New Year, which for certain will bring more good affairs and high achievements, I would like to thank the whole collective of the University for enthusiastic work, which is the guarantee for our successful development. We have ambitious plans for the future and surely move forwards.

Let all good undertakings unite in the new year for the benefit of our University, industry, state!
I sincerely congratulate you with the New 2014 year and Christmas! I wish good health, wealth, family welfare, warmth and love in your hearts.

MODERNIZATION OF UNIVERSITY IS CONTINUED

At the end of calendar 2013 year, on 30, December, the University received the original New Year's present: the dental classes for 37 armchairs and new premises for Medical college at dental faculty were opened.

Dental clinic at Bogomolets NMU was replenished by four classrooms, which are furnished with the most modern equipment for treatment, bactericidal recirculators for constant sanitation of air, have unique units for safe sterilization of tools, etc.

Rector of University academician Vitaliy Moskalenko, answering the questions from TV journalists, emphasized: “The end of the year was marked by a regular innovation. So, our purpose is to establish the best conditions for study and improvement of professional workmanship at doctors. All that were presented during opening procedure correspond to the recent technologies in medical equipment at the world level. It is the contribution into the future of University”.

LAST MEETING OF ACADEMIC COUNCIL IN THE YEAR

Last meeting of Academic council at University in this year was held on 26, December, 2013 in sanitary hygienic building of NMU, where the heads at department and members of administration were present.

At the meeting the rector academician in NAMS of Ukraine, professor V.F. Moskalenko told about main results of the year, presented the greatest achievements of University for last year and emphasized the tasks for 2014. The winners in rating of departments and faculties due to results from activity in 2012-2013 academic year were also awarded.
