About preparation for licensing
integrated exam “Krok 1”
at dental faculty
in 2013/2014 a.y.
Within the purpose to improve the preparation of students for licensing integrated exam “Krok 1. Dentistry”, which will be held on 12, March, 2014, according to informative letter from MHC of Ukraine, dd. 08.05.2013 No 166
I HEREBY ORDER:
1. To impose the responsibility for quality in organization of preparation of students in the third course for licensing integrated exam “Krok 1. Dentistry” to the dean of dental faculty, dean on work with foreign students, heads at department of human anatomy, biology, bioorganic, biological and pharmaceutical chemistry, histology and embryology, microbiology, virology and immunology, physiology, pathophysiology, pathological anatomy, pharmacology and clinical pharmacology, head in academic methodological division, chairman in students’ parliament and chairman in students’ council at dental faculty.
2. To consider that the most priority efficiency factors in activity of abovementioned departments, dean’s office of dental faculty and dean’s office on work with foreign students are the results from taking licensing integrated exam “Krok 1. Dentistry”, according to which the rating place of NMU in sectorial rating of higher medical (pharmaceutical) schools of Ukraine is determined.
3. To approve the additional work schedule for students of the 3rd course in computer rooms on preparation for licensing integrated exam “Krok. 1. Dentistry” (Annex 1).
4. Dean of dental faculty, dean on work with foreign students within the purpose to improve the quality in preparation for licensing integrated exam “Krok 1” at the 3rd course of dental faculty shall:
- acquaint students with the new “Procedure for performance of licensing exams”, established by “Testing center of professional competence of specialists with higher education in training directions “Medicine” and “Pharmacy” at Ministry of health care of Ukraine;
- admit students to take exam “Krok 1” according to the order within the University providing that there is no academic backlog in fulfillment of curriculum and academic programs, in particular on discipline “Krok 1” according to corresponding specialty;
- assign teachers-curators to academic groups in order to improve the quality in preparation for LIE “Krok 1. Dentistry”
- until 10, February, 2014 with agreement with heads at department, draw up the schedule for performance of additional consultations and academic classes (lectures) for students at department of human anatomy, biology, bioorganic, biological and pharmaceutical chemistry, histology and embryology, microbiology, virology and immunology, physiology, pathophysiology, pathological anatomy, pharmacology and clinical pharmacology – on academic disciplines, which questions are included into the structure of licensing exam “Krok 1. Dentistry”, inform students about them and send them to department and academic methodological division.
5. Heads at department, who teach disciplines, included into “Krok 1”, to students of the 1st-3rd courses in 2013/2014 a.y. shall provide with:
- availability of sets for thematic tests on each topic of academic classes, created from test tasks in information bank by Testing center for LIE “Krok 1. dentistry” and electronic bank of booklets for licensing exams since 2003 until 2013 at each department;
- solution of test tasks by students as a significant part of standardized control (in the amount of 20 test tasks of multisampling type – format A (test tasks with one correct answer) at each academic class;
- allotting the positive mark to students due to results from tests at practical classes providing that not less 70% correct answers on discipline are received, during final modular control – 80% correct answers;
- performance of additional consultations and academic classes (lectures), which educational material is a component in structure of licensing integrated exam “Krok 1. Dentistry”, by heads at department, professors and assistant professors due to the schedule, agreed by deans of faculties;
- acquaintance of all teachers at department with this order and discussion of organizational approaches to its fulfillment at methodological meeting of department.
7. Impose the control for fulfillment of this order to prorector on scientific pedagogical work corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine, professor O.P. Yavorovskyy.
