FINAL SEMINAR-TRAINING ON ACADEMIC METHODOLOGICAL WORK

The final seminar-training for heads in academic divisions at higher medical (pharmaceutical) schools of Ukraine on issues of improvement in organization and increase in quality of academic educational process was held on 10, February, 2014 in administrative building of Bogomolets National medical university.
The rector on scientific pedagogical work corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine professor O.P. Yavorovskyy made a welcome speech to all present people.
The seminar-training started from report “Organization of work in state examination commissions at higher medical (pharmaceutical) schools of Ukraine (taking into consideration the order from MHC of Ukraine, dd. 24.05.2013 No 584)”, made by SE Central Curriculum Office on higher medical education at MHC of Ukraine professor L.V. Sokolova.
Head in academic methodological division at Bogomolets NMU assistant professor L.I. Ostapiuk presented the report “About creation of “Supplement to diploma about higher education for graduates from higher schools” in 2014”.
The presentation by head in academic division at State higher educational establishment “Dnipropetrovsk medical academy at MHC of Ukraine” assistant professor G.V. Gorbunova and L.V. Sapozhnichenko “Discussion about experience in assessment system for academic activity of students and assessment methodology for results from practice-oriented exams during performance of state attestation for graduates” was discussed in the program of meetings. Head in academic division at Odessa national medical university A.V. Cherniavska, head in Departmental scientific methodological laboratory on issues for training of doctors at M. Gorkyy Donetsk national university professor M.B. Pervak, head in academic division of M.I. Pyrogov Vinnytsia national medical university professor L.V. Fomina, head in academic division at Kharkiv national medical university V.M. Prudius added the report and shared their experience.
The report by director in SE Testing center at MHC of Ukraine professor I.Ye. Bulakh, assistant professor M.R. Mryga “Presentation of project “Instructions on assessment of student’s academic activity at organization of academic process due to credit-unit system” was also discussed.
As well, they listened to “Presentation of “Provisions about organization of academic process due to credit-unit system at pharmaceutical faculty (extra-mural form of study)” by head in academic methodological division at National pharmaceutical university, assistant professor L.M. Vinnik, head in scientific methodological laboratory on issues of pharmaceutical education, assistant professor S.V. Ogar.
The meeting was finished by deputy director in SE Central Curriculum Office on higher medical education at MHC of Ukraine, assistant professor I.V. Melnyk with the report “Discussion about forms for Passport of university, Report about activity of department and Report about activity of faculty taking into consideration the requirements from ratings of educational establishments, Ministry of health of Ukraine, Ministry of education and science of Ukraine”.
In total over 20 specialists from the whole Ukraine took part in the seminar and discussed the important issues in higher medical education, in particular, assessment system of results from practice-oriented state exams, forms for passport of university, report about activity of department taking into consideration the effective requirements to performance of Departmental rating of medical universities and academies.
