ANNOUNCEMENT-The scientific practical seminar and master class

The scientific practical seminar and master class “Modern methods to render the aid to injured with bullet wounds and peculiarities for treatment of bullet skeletal trauma” will be held on 15, March, 2014 at 10:00 on the base of SE “Institute of Traumatology and orthopedics at NAMS of Ukraine”. The seminar will be held at the address: c. Kyiv, Vorovskogo str., 27 (1^st floor, lecture hall). Admission free.

The organizational committee invites you to attend the scientific practical seminar and master class, within which programs it is anticipated that leading specialists of orthopedic traumatological profile will read a cycle of lectures on topic “Modern methods to render the aid to the injured with bullet wounds and peculiarities for treatment of bullet skeletal trauma”. The work of seminar anticipates the performance of master class on principles, peculiarities, advantages and ways for application of different designs for apparatuses of external fixation for performance of extrafocal osteosynthesis.

INFORMATION BY STIPENDIUM COMMISSION

11 March 2014

Taking into consideration the proposals from students’ core group of Bogomolets National medical university and according to the order of NMU, dd. 24.01.2014 under No 37 “About introduction of amendments into order, dd. 22.01.2014 under No 19”, the students, who passed through final modular control (FMC) on completed academic disciplines since 13 until 28, January, 2014, and obtained not less than 50 scores, and for whom this control was not accepted, two normative retaking of FMC at department of University everyday since 27, January and until 20, February, 2014, with fulfillment of normative requirements to three days of preparation for FMC and with available dean’s sheet, duly executed by stipendium commission, are additionally accrued with stipendiums.

Thus, the stipendium fund of NMU was used in full.

More detailed information may be received directly at dean’s offices in corresponding faculties of University.

REGULAR MEETING OF ACADEMIC COUNCIL

11 March 2014

The regular meeting of Academic council at University, at which the heads at departments, heads at divisions and members in administration were present, was held on 11, March, 2014.

The certificate about conferment of scientific degree “professor” to professor at department of pediatrics No 4 M.V. Khaytovych and certificates about conferment of scientific degrees “assistant professor” to assistant professor at department of internal medicine No 4 O.V. Dolynnina, assistant professor at department of medical and biological physics V.M. Rudneva and assistant professor at department of medical and biological physics O.M. Chayka were presented at the beginning of the meeting.

The agenda for meeting of Academic council included the staff questions about conferment of scientific degree “professor” to acting head at department of Pharmacognosy and botany V.M. Minarchenko and scientific degrees “assistant professor” to assistant professor at department on organization and economics in pharmacy L.O. Gali, assistant professor at department of anesthesiology and intensive therapy Yu.L. Kuchin and assistant at department of urology O.D. Nikitin.

The Council also considered some current issues; in particular they discussed the ways to improve the methodology for calculation of integrated rating index for graduates from Bogomolets NMU and taking it into consideration in calculation of integrated exam KROK 1. The deans of faculties were charged to perform the discussion of issues about the ways to improve the methodology for calculation with the students as soon as possible and to submit the offers until the end of working week to the prorector on scientific pedagogical activity professor O.P. Yavorovskyy.

HONORING THE MEMORY OF TARAS SHEVCHENKO

The joint meeting of students from Bogomolets NMU and Taras Shevchenko KNU, pupils from Ukrainian medical lyceum took place on 7, March, 2014, near the monument to Great Kobzar in Shevchenko park. The solemn march to the monument was headed by acting rector of NMU professor KM Amosova, who opened the festal meeting. The representatives from two powerful higher schools in Kyiv came to honor his cherished memory on the eve of 200 ^th birthday of the poet.

The poems by Shevchenko, which have not lost their actuality until now, were read at the pedestal of the monument. It is pleasing that foreign students joined to the event: so, the student from Southern Korea read the poem "Cherry orchard near the house" in Ukrainian language, and representative from PRC read "The last will" in Chinese language.

Student of the 2 ^ND Course at Medical Faculty No 2 of Bogomolets NMU Roman Nimkovych read his own poetry:

Future of Ukraine

I look into your future, Ukraine,

I believe that the state is finally unified,

What's gone all discord, disagreement, discord,

That smile again tearful mother!

LECTURE DUE TO NEED OF TIME

The lecture on topic “Surgery of military time” was held on 4, March, 2014 in lecture hall No 1 in pharmaceutical building.

Colonel of medical service, head at department of military surgery at Ukrainian military medical academy, Doctor of Medicine, professor, Honorary Doctor of Ukraine, doctor-surgeon of higher category Yaroslav Leonidovych and deputy head of Chief military medical center “Chief military clinical hospital”, chief surgeon of Ministry of defense of Ukraine, colonel of medical service Anatoliy Anatoliyovych Shudrak read the lecture to students of University at invitation of professor Kateryna Mykolayivna.

Many students, paramedics, doctors-interns, medic-volunteers from Maydan were interested in urgent (unfortunately!) topic of the lecture. The format of the meeting was rather non-standard and open and the lecture itself received the high assessment by present people. The answers for a great number of questions to lecturers established the situation of qualitative professional dialog.

Students thanked the initiative group for idea to perform such lecture, professor K.M. Amosova for assistance and organization of event, and military surgeons for qualitative presentation of lecture material.

OPEN SPEECH BY BOGOMOLETS NATIONAL MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

Bogomolets National medical university always supported the peace and justice, human rights and freedoms, democratic values and aspirations for them, stood for preservation of integrity and independence of the state. Ukraine goes through one of the most difficult historical periods in its existence.

Being conscious of our mutual responsibility for the destiny of independent Ukraine, its sovereignty, we address to the Chairman in Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Prime-minister of Ukraine, personally to each People’s depute of Ukraine, to dignity, public awareness and professional responsibility of judges, public prosecutors, employees at authorities of Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, students, doctors-interns, resident medical practitioners, postgraduate students, teachers, doctors, all employees of the University!

We appeal to you to do your best in order not to let the civil war; to preserve the integrity of the country, to settle the public political crisis in the state applying generally recognized norms of human rights, Constitution of Ukraine and international agreements; to restore the public peace and harmony!

Appealing to all of you, we categorically blame the foreign armed invasion to the territory of our state, violence in relation to citizens of Ukraine, regardless of nationality, race, skin color, language of communication, political or religious beliefs and any other features.

DAY OF MOURNING FOR PERISHED DURING PROTESTING ACTIONS

Academic Council, University Administration, Council of Elders, Students’ parliament, trade union committee, the whole fourteen thousands collective of Bogomolets National medical university express the deep sympathy to relatives and friends of perished during mass protesting actions in c. Kyiv.

During these hard days the students and employees of University showed high patriotism, rendering the qualified medical aid to victims.

RECTOR OF NMU MET WITH CANDIDATES FOR THE POST OF SENIOR LABORATORY ASSISTANTS

On 14, February, 2014, rector of Bogomolets National medical university academician in NAMS of Ukraine professor V.F. Moskalenko had the personal meeting with candidates for the post of senior laboratory assistants.

The meeting was held in warm, friendly atmosphere, where not only the traditional introduction to the head at establishment but the original creative competition was waiting for future teachers and scientists.
