THE ASSISTANT AT DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACEUTICAL, BIOLOGICAL AND TOXICOLOGICAL CHEMISTRY AT NMU WON IN TWO COMPETITIONS OF SCIENTIFIC WORKS
The assistant at department of pharmaceutical, biological and toxicological chemistry Glib Khrapach won in the competition of oral reports at XVIII scientific youth conference “Problems and achievements of modern chemistry”, which was held in city Odessa on 17 until 20, May, 2016 on the base of O.V. Bogatskyy physical chemical institute at NAS of Ukraine.
The work at the conference was held in two sections: section of organic, bioorganic chemistry and biochemistry and section of inorganic, analytical chemistry and ecology. The report by Glib Khrapach “Arentricarbonyl complexes of chromium – a new approach to the synthesis of unknown cyclohexadienes with perfluororalkin group” took the first place among competitive works in both sections.
Besides, Glib presented the work “Arentricarbonyl complexes of chromium in reactions of perfluoroalkylation and dearomatization” at XIV all-Ukrainian conference of young scientists and students on urgent issues of modern chemistry, which was held at Oles Gonchar Dnipropetrovsk national university since 24 until 26, May, 2016. His report was acknowledged to be the best one in section “Organic and pharmaceutical chemistry”.
The scientific work by Glib Khrapach under supervision of Doctor of Chemistry, professor Yuriy Yagupolskyy, is devoted to development of new methods for synthesis and design of small molecules – cyclic diene systems with trifluoromethyl substitute – powerful pharmacophore.
