THE SECOND CHARITABLE DANCE OF NATIONAL MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

The students of O.O. Bohomolets National medical university performed the Second Charitable Dance on 21, May, 2016.

This year the charitable event gathered over 400 guests: deputies from Kyiv city council, collective of O.O. Bohomolets NMU, representatives of trade unions, students’ self-government, military students in Military institute of telecommunications and informatization, Military institute of KNU, students, teachers from KPI and NAU.

According to the words by organizers – Trade union of students from NMU – the Second dance, which was held in column assembly of KCSA, is the continuation of traditions, launched last year by students’ community to collect the money for medical equipment for rehabilitation of participants and warriors of ATO, who now risk their lives for our peaceful future.

The performance of charitable event was supported by university administration. Addressing to the present people, the rector of O.O. Bohomolets NMU Kateryna Amosova mentioned that each guest of the Second Charitable dance at NMU is the participant in social important project. “For me it is the great honor to be near our medical students, volunteers, who do not stand aside and sincerely work for implementation of the noble purpose. This is our joint contribution into establishment of social responsible not indifferent society”, - told Kateryna Amosova.

According to the words by chairman in Trade union of students at NMU Vlasiy Pylypko, all collected funds will be transferred to Kyiv city clinical hospitals for invalids of the Great Patriotic War, participants in military actions and antiterrorist operation.

During the dance the students arranged the charitable auction and trade fair of handmade goods, master classes in choreography. As well the exhibition of pictures by author-participant in ATO and photo exhibition on Kyiv topics was deployed at the event.

The ceremony on meeting of guests was held under the sounds of classical compositions, performed by Combined military orchestra at Military institute of telecommunications and informatization and Ivan Bogun Kyiv military lyceum (directors – mayor Andrii Bondar and mayor Maksym Zinchenko).

The students trained for dance during 4 months. The dance filling this year differed from last year’s one: the program included tango and free dances for all guests, fiery Czech polka and Vienna waltz, Latin American rumba and Cha Cha Cha. Over 70 pairs took part in the event.

According to the words by organizers, over 25 thousands hryvna were already collected. The collection of money is going on, and everyone, who wishes, may join to the aid for those ones, who really needs it – our heroes.

The open lecture by graduate from NMU, doctor at department of population health at medical faculty of Oxford university (Great Britain) Olena Seminog on topic “Electronic medical records in England and own experience in writing Ph.D. dissertation in one of the most prestigious universities in the world – Oxford University will be held on 23, May, 2016 in O.O. Bogomolets National medical university.

The event will be held within Science Days and implementation of project “Club of graduates from NMU” at Society of young scientists and specialists together with the department of organizational pedagogical activity, department of science and department of international relations at NMU.

CONFERENCE “URGENT ISSUES OF MODERN BATTLE TRAUMA”

The interdepartmental scientific practical conference “Urgent issues of modern battle trauma” on the base of Mariupol city hospital No 2 was organized and performed on 17, May, 2016 by joint efforts of employees at department of orthopedics and traumatology at O.O. Bohomolets National medical university, specialists from National military medical clinical center and employees of health care system in c. Mariupol.

Over 200 specialists in health care system both of military and civil medicine from the whole Ukraine, in particular Kyiv, Odessa, Kharkiv, Irpin took part in the conference. City mayor of c. Mariupol Vadym Boychenko, head at city department of health care at Mariupol city council Olga Golubchenko, deputy director in Military medical department at Ministry of defense of Ukraine, colonel of medical service Oleg Liashenko, chief orthopedist-traumatologist at MHC of Ukraine, deputy director on scientific activity at SE “Institute of traumatology and orthopedics at NAMS of Ukraine”, professor, Doctor of Medicine Serhii Strafun, head at department of traumatology and orthopedics at O.O. Bohomolets National medical university, Doctor of Medicine, professor Oleksander Burianov welcomed the participants in the conference.

During solemnities the employees of SE “Prof. M.I. Sytenko Institute on pathology of spine and joints at NAMS of Ukraine” presented the motor frame (by own design) to perform the rehabilitation of injured with traumas of lower extremities to department of traumatology at emergency care hospital in c. Mariupol.

During the working session they discussed the urgent issues in military field surgery, in particular, battle trauma of extremities, chest and stomach organs, problems on rendering the emergency aid at different stages of medical evacuation of injured. The master class on application of external fixation devices by “Ortopak” Firm, designed by professor Oleksii Popsuyshapka was also performed for participants in the conference.

During event they performed the press conference with local mass media. “The purpose of such events is first of all to unite both services of medical aid: civil and military, and, as a result, to form the uniform system for treatment of injured with battle trauma”, - mentioned head at department of orthopedics and traumatology at O.O. Bohomolets NMU while answering the questions of journalists. “Such conferences in Mariupol shall become traditional. At present moment namely this city is the most organized and full value system on rendering the aid to injured people near the front line, thus, namely the constant improvement in quality of treatment in such strategic place is the most important task”.

You invited to take part in VII scientific practical conference with international participation “YouthNanoBioTech-2016. Youth forum on nanobiotechnologies” that will be held on 25-26, May, 2016 in V.F. Voyno-Yasenetskyy lecture hall No 3 in morphological building at O.O. Bohomolets National medical university.

The conference was organized by Society of young scientists and specialists, devoted to Science Day at O.O. Bohomolets NMU and was included into “Register of forums, congresses, symposiums and scientific practical conferences, which are held in 2016” by MHC of Ukraine.

The program of the first day of the conference anticipated the reports, devoted to development and implementation of modern nano- and biotechnologies into medical practice, presentation of possibilities for implementation of the newest developments for medical sphere into economics (commercialization), as well as the lectures about modern situation in medical science of Ukraine, perspectives for its development, standardization and conformity to world requirements.

The program of the second day of the conference included the reports by young scientists and students of our University, other higher schools, scientific research institutes at NAS and NAMS of Ukraine.

The solemn opening of the conference will be held at 11.00 on 25, May, 2016 in V.F. Voyno-Yasenetskyy lecture hall No 3 in morphological building, plenary meeting of conference – at 9.00 on 26, May, 2016 in O. Korchak-Chepurkivskyy lecture hall in sanitary hygienic building.
