WORKING MEETING ON ISSUES OF REGULATORY LEGAL ACCOMPANIMENT FOR CLINICAL TESTS OF MEDICAL DRUGS

The working meeting, headed by pro-rector on scientific pedagogical activity, corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine, professor Chaykovskyy Yu.B. on issues of regulatory legal accompaniment for clinical tests of medical drugs was held on 7, November, at Bogomolets NMU.

The heads of structural subdivisions of university, heads of clinical departments, at which the clinical researches of medical drugs are held, representatives from European Business Association took part in the meeting.

HEARD: Head of scientific research sector, professor Khaytovych M.V. reported about the main regulatory legal documents from clinical tests, emphasized the problematic issues: procedure and rules to form the contractual price; preservation of materials from clinical research during 15 years – who provides with?; procedure for administrative accompaniment of clinical researches; suggested to develop the Provisions about performance of clinical researches of medical drugs at university; to introduce the changes into rating assessment of work of departments at university in order to encourage them for clinical researches of medical drugs.

SPEAKERS:

- Head at department of Phthisiology and pulmonology, professor Petrenko V.I. emphasized the significance of purposeful use of funds and their correct distribution.

- Head at department of internal medicine No 3, professor Svintsytskyy A.S. about distribution of Contractual obligations.

- Head at department of neurology, professor Sokoklova L.I. mentioned the reasons for decrease in a number of researches; emphasized that the distribution of funds for performance of researches with correlation 50%:50% between medical preventive establishments and NMU is not reasonable, and further gave the reasoned offer to revise this distribution, mentioned about importance of the issue about periods of reporting and confident information about clinical researches.

- Lawyer of European Business Association Igor Svitlyk, representative of Subcommission on clinical tests Dmytro Semeniuta, lawyer Kateryna Shapran, coordinator of Subcommission on clinical tests Antonina Smolina gave the legal assessment for confidentiality of information, mentioned the procedure and correctness for actions by performers of clinical researches while appealing to the law enforcement controlling authorities.

RESOLVED: for scientific research part:

-       Together with the planning financial and legal department of NMU until 1, December, 2014 to develop the Provisions about procedure for performance of clinical researches of medical drugs at university.

-       Together with European Business Association until 15, November to develop the recommendations about procedure for actions in case of appeal with request to the competent authorities on issues of organization of clinical researches of clinical medical drugs.

OPEN DIALOG OF UNIVERSITY RECTOR WITH STUDENTS

The performance of regular open meetings with students was launched at the initiative of rector of NMU Kateryna Amosova.

The first such meeting was held on 6, November, 2014 in the assembly hall of physical chemical building of NMU. Many students from different faculties, most of them students-deferred matriculants, came to the open communication.

Pro-rectors, deans of faculties, representatives from bodies of students’ self-government of faculties and university.

Addressing to the present people, Kateryna Amosova emphasized that the basis of university is students. Thus, the administration is available for open communication with students and such meetings are extremely useful.

The discussion between a head of NMU and students was lively. Everyone used the possibility to ask a question, which concerned him mostly. The rector provided with the full and complete answers for each question, expressed her remarks and together with students was ready to find the solutions of problems.

In particular, students-deferred matriculants, from Donetsk and Lugansk medical universities were interested in issues about their further destiny and possibility for transfer to NMU for constant study; liquidation of academic backlog from the previous place of study; procedure to take KROK 1 and payout of stipendium.

In its turn, the rector informed that 625 persons were transferred to NMU in the status of students-deferred matriculants from Donetsk and Lugansk medical universities according to the Directive by Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No 785, dd. 27.08.2014. No student was denied to access to study. And all proper conditions for residence at hostels were established for this category of students.

In order to explain the further destiny of students of ATO area, the rector sent the letter to the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine. And at this stage the university administration recommends students-deferred matriculants, who wish to become full students of NMU, to write the corresponding applications to the dean’s offices and to wait for decision of the ministry.

As well, the meeting discussed the issues of paid failed classes; transfer from credit modular to credit transfer system; renewal of release of students’ journal “Yod”; accrual of academic stipendium.

Rector Kateryna Amosova provided with explanations about paid failed classes and informed that this issue is at the stage of development. And the mechanism of failed classes’ backlog will be suggested only through the mutual dialog with students.

Another important issue was the discussion of management problems. Students are worried that the prices in the canteen of morphological building are higher than the prices in the canteen of physical chemical building. The pro-rector on scientific pedagogical activity and perspective development assured that nutritional system is now being developed and the corresponding center, which will subordinate to university, will be created. As at present moment the owner of students’ canteen is a lessee, who sets the price for food. Only after termination of lease agreements, which were signed for many years by former managements, the university will be responsible for the quality and price of food.

The pro-rector also informed that despite the fact that economy of energy resources is run in the state the rector Kateryna Amosova managed to achieve the agreement about provision of university hostels with heat carriers and hot water supply on 24 hours basis and in full volume.

Finishing the meeting, Kateryna Amosova added that the rector’s office and deans are always ready to help, to give advice and to support each student.

The first stage of the first tournament on medical “What? Where? When?” at Bogomolets NMU

The first university tournament of Bogomolets National medical university on medical “What? Where? When?” started on 5, November in lecture hall No 1 in morphological building. The tournament is held according to the rules of sport version of the game “What? Where? When?”, which allows the simultaneous participation of a great number of players.

The initiative to perform the event belongs to the founders of students society “Intellectual games of NMU”: Motornyy Volodymyr and Danchenko Anastasiia, who performed the role of the hosts during the game at the same time/

17 teams that consisted of the students from the 1^st to the 6^th course, as well as interns took part in the first stage:

1. “Med 1+1” – 15 scores

2. “Dumbledore’s reanimation” – 12 scores

3. “Dance as uncle Vytia!” – 10 scores

4-5. “Cocaine & Caviar”, “S.P.Q.R.” – 9 scores

6. «Cactus» - 8 scores

7-10. “Starling”, “Hippocrates’s beard”, “Armatamanus”, “Aikido” – 7 scores

11. “Hebephrenia" – 6 scores

12-13. “Noir-adrenalin»,» Table No 18” – 5 scores

14. “Pershachky” – 4 scores

The winners of the first stage received the symbolic “sweet” prize but the real award has been waiting for favorites of the tournament, who will demonstrate both the good game during next three stages that are planned for the second semester of this academic year. The winners will receive the medals and valuable and useful presents.

The organizers set the goal for them to transform the medical “What? Where? When?” into a good university tradition – annual championship, in which the cleverest and the most intelligent students will compete between themselves in the skill to find the answers to difficult and interesting questions.

DONOR’S DAYS AT NMU

On 29-31, October, 2014 the university held the action “Gift a drop of blood – become a donor”, during which all non-indifferent people had the chance to join to the noble affairs – to donate blood for those ones, who need it so much.

During four days about 300 medical students and their tutors donated the blood and after its check over 230 persons became donors.

The tragic events that take place now in Ukraine do not just leave the painful track in the soul of everyone but still force to be changed for better, to show nobleness and to help neighbors.

We are proud of our youth that demonstrated the example of the real civil deed without remuneration. It is pleasant to realize that our students – this is the youth that clearly understands that the civilized, kind world should be created firstly inside ourselves and then around themselves.

The studentship of our university appeals all non-indifferent people further to join to such actions as each such initiative can save someone’s life, grant the right for happiness.

ON OCCASION OF THE 70TH ANNIVERSARY FOR LIBERATION OF UKRAINE AND THE 71ST ANNIVERSARY FOR LIBERATION OF KYIV

On 31, October, 2014 the University held the solemnities on occasion of the 70^th anniversary for liberation of Ukraine and the 71^st anniversary for liberation of Kyiv from fascist invaders. The holiday started by the welcome speech of rector in University corresponding member in NAMS professor K.M. Amosova, who, greeting the veterans and present people with the holiday, wished the long years of life under the peaceful sky of our Motherland, which already for many times pays the high price for independence, peace and calm in our native land.

The welcome speech to present people was made by Chairman in Council of veterans at University V.F. Moshliak, who thanked the university administration for honor and respect to veterans and emphasized that each such meeting for them is a special holiday, a day of memories and preservation of the cherished memory about everyone, who struggled against the enemy in the front or in the home front.

After welcome speeches they laid the flowers to the memorial to teachers and students of the University, who perished during the years of the Great Patriotic War and to the memorial sign to Heroes of Nebesna Sotnia.

At the end of solemnities the veterans were invited for the holiday dinner, during which they were presented with the concert program, prepared by joint efforts from chairman in trade unions of employees M.M. Lukyanets, division of humanitarian education and upbringing of university (head at division – O.S. Gorova) and participants in International cultural center of University (head – I.P. Terpeliuk). The songs were sung, the pairs were whirling in the dance but the most interesting thing was the performance of favorite songs from military years by all participants in the holiday meeting.
